# How to Transfer Liability from Medical Aid to Patient in Healthbridge Nova

Follow these steps to transfer an invoice's liability from Medical Aid to Patient in Healthbridge Nova.

**Step 1: Access the Patient’s Account**

1.  Log in to Healthbridge Nova.
2.  Click on the **‘Accounts’** tab from the main menu.
3.  Use the search bar to find the patient’s account.
4.  Click on the patient’s name to open their account details.

**Step 2: Locate the Invoice**

1.  Select the **‘Transactions’** tab.
2.  Change the **‘Type’** filter to **‘Invoice’**.
3.  Select the specific invoice that needs liability transfer.

**Step 3: Transfer the Liability**

1.  Click on the arrows between **‘Medical Aid Liable’** and **‘Patient Liable’** to transfer liability.
2.  Enter a Reason for transferring the liability.

**Step 4: Save the Changes**

1.  Click **‘Save’** to apply the transfer.
