Updating the  Colour of a Scheduled Appointment

Users can now change the colour of a booked appointment by following the below simple steps.

  • Select the appointment for which a colour modification is desired.
  • Access the color selection block located in the right-hand corner of the appointment booking.
  • Choose the preferred colour, and the adjustment will be applied.
  • This colour modification will also be reflected in the waiting room display as patients are checked in.

Healthbridge Nova Latest enhancements - 2025/02/14

Healthbridge Nova has had a few enhancements added in this week. Here is a full overview of whats changed.


  • Acknowledging eRA Processing – Managing "Unknown" Schemes. This enhancement enables practices to specify the scheme associated with an eRA when the system is unable to automatically recognize the scheme name.
  • Inbox Reconciliation - Newly added search option now allows users to search for a RA(Remittance Advice) using a RA number.
  • Birthday SMS inconsistencies - this has been resolved.
  • Statement and invoice reports - Ensured statement and invoice report amounts display with two decimal places.
  • Account Tab - Improved the Account Tab by addressing the 1,000-patient limit on accounts found and ensuring total account are visible.

Healthbridge Nova has had a few enhancements added in this week. Here is a full overview of whats changed.


  • Payment Details report - The "Paid by" and "Payment Type" columns have been improved for accurate information display with manual RAs. Additionally, a new column has been added to show affected invoices linked to the payment.
  • Patient initials field - The Patient Initials field now includes enhanced validation rules to align with claim service requirements and minimize rejections.
  • Capture Invoice - Improved validation now checks for both zero-price lines and amounts of R0.01.
  • Bulk Messages - Exclude specific static SMS types that are already free within the system.
  • Appointment Booking - Restricts check-in for past appointments.
  • No charge Invoices - Zero-price warning message removed for "no-charge" invoices.
  • Patient List Report - Expanded the Patient List Report on Nova to display all patient records.

New features and enhancements 


Percentage billing - Percentage Billing in Healthbridge Nova enables practices to adjust base rates for specific schemes, plans, or options by a defined percentage. For more information our easy "How to" guide will show users step by step on how to add a new percentages and make changes to current existing percentages.

Patient Payment screen - After saving a transaction on the Patient Payment and other transaction screens, the user will be redirected to the Account Details screen.

Bulk Communications - the “Patient Liable” filter on the Bulk Communications screen functionality has been corrected to isplay correctly.

Claim Summary report settings - Resolve an issue where checkboxes for Claim Summary report settings are not enabled in specific scenarios.

New features and enhancements 


Manual RA Capture -Significant improvements have been made to the Manual RA Capture screen, enabling users to capture the entire RA on a single screen. The user can access an easy-to-understand “How to” guide linked or by the “Learn more” option on Healthbridge Nova.

Private Rates Report -A newly added operational report allows practices and providers to view the private rates configured for their organization.

Engage MX Add-On - The Engage MX add-on is now available for qualifying practices, providing enhanced functionality and efficiency.

Automatic User Logout for Inactivity - A new setting has been introduced to automatically log out users after a specified period of inactivity. This critical security feature helps safeguard sensitive information while ensuring the system refreshes upon re-login. This setting can be accessed from the “Admin” tab “Settings” section located under “System”

Network Pricing Contracts Screen - The contract list available under the Network Pricing Contracts section, previously updated every 24 hours, has been enhanced to update in near real-time, significantly improving convenience and usability

Invoice Report -  Queries surrounding the company’s address did not appear at the top of the invoice report as expected has been resolved.

Benefit Check Pricing by Specialty - Inconsistent functionality in Benefit Check pricing based on speciality when a default Benefit Check template was not specified for individual providers has been resolved.

  • Healthbridge Clinical Add-On: Healthbridge Clinical is now available in the Add-On Store.
  • Modifier 0075 added: Healthbridge Nova now offers modifier, 0075, "Endoscopic procedures performed in own procedure room. "
  • Improved Invoice Search: The advanced search option includes a new “Invoice Number” column, allowing users to search and filter invoices more precisely.
  • Appointment Status Sync: When an encounter is completed in Healthbridge Clinical, the Nova appointment status will now correctly update to "Checked out."
  • Bulk Statements: The bulk statement function has been corrected to ensure only invoices with outstanding balances are sent out. 
  • PricingQueries: Prices reflecting as missing or showing as zero in Healthbridge Clinical are now correctly received in Healthbridge Nova, eliminating the need to remove and re-add invoice lines for the correct pricing to populate.
  • Invoice Claim Status: Claims previously showing as "Awaiting response" on the invoice search screen should now appear with the correct status.
