How to Add a Provider in Healthbridge Nova

Follow these steps to add and configure a new provider (Locum, Doctor, etc.) in Healthbridge Nova.

Step 1: Access the Provider Settings

  1. Log in to Healthbridge Nova.
  2. Click on the ‘Admin’ tab in the top menu.
  3. Select ‘Providers’ from the left panel.

Step 2: Add a New Provider

  1. Click on either:
    • ‘Add Treating Provider’ → For doctors actively treating patients.
    • ‘Add External Provider’ → For external referrals or specialists.
  1. Search for the provider using their HPCSA/MP number:
    • If the provider is already registered with Healthbridge, their details will auto-populate.
    • If not, proceed to manually enter the provider’s information.

Step 3: Complete Provider Details

  1. The ‘Add New Provider’ page will appear.
  2. Fill in all required fields under the ‘Details’ tab.
  3. Once completed, click ‘Save’.

Step 4: Configure Additional Provider Settings (Optional)

After saving, additional tabs will allow further customization:

  • ‘Details’ → View all captured provider data.
  • ‘Private Rates’ → Add custom rates for procedures and services.
  • ‘Settings’ → Adjust provider-specific preferences.
  • ‘Assigned Branches’ → Select which branches the provider operates at.
  • ‘Templates’ → Create predefined templates for diagnoses, procedures, medicines, or consumables.
  • ‘Network Pricing Contracts’ → Set up contracts with specific medical schemes to align pricing.

Step 5: Finalize and Save

  1. Review all configurations.
  2. Click ‘Save’ to confirm the setup.

The provider has been successfully added to Healthbridge Nova.
